Qualifications

• Successful experience as either a head or assistant coach, or college level coaching experience.
• Coaching courses to be completed after hire.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course
• NFHS First Aid, Health and Safety for Coaches Course
• Heat Illness
• Bullying/Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors
• Protecting Students from Abuse
• CPR and AED Course
• Concussion in Sports
• Cheer and Dance Safety Certification (Cheer Coaches only)
• NMPED 501 Initial Support Provider Coach

Responsibilities

• Work with Volleyball Program Leader on operations and program development.
• Assist planning and preparation from middle school to high school levels.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct regular practices and competitions.
• Assist the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer with required forms.
• Attend volleyball meetings as scheduled by the NMAA or District 2-4A.
• Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms as needed.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment for the sport.
• Establish rapport with athletes, staff, parents, and media.
• Submit transportation forms to the Athletic Director.
• Assist in promotion, recruitment, and recognition programs for the sport.
• Perform tasks in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
