Job summary

Los Alamos Public Schools is seeking a Coach Assistant for Middle School Volleyball to support the program from middle school to high school. You will help plan practices, coordinate competitions, and assist with paperwork and promotion for student athletes.

The role requires prior coaching experience, high school coaching preferred, and completion of NFHS and safety courses after hire. On-site work with the district in Los Alamos, NM follows a coaching contract schedule.

Qualifications

• > Experience as head or assistant coach, or college-level coaching/player experience.
• > High school basketball coaching experience preferred.
• > Will complete required coaching courses after hire.

Responsibilities

• > Direct planning, preparations, and coaching for volleyball from middle school to high school.
• > Plan and conduct regular practice and competition per rules.
• > Assist Athletic Director with forms, transportation, and promotions.
• > Ensure safety and welfare of student athletes during activities.
• > Maintain equipment inventory and facility safety.
• > Establish rapport with athletes, staff, parents, and community.
