Responsibilities

• Teach Visual Arts content across multiple fine art mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.
• Design engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons building technical skills, artistic voice, and creative risk-taking.
• Develop coursework supporting portfolio development and pathways in the arts.
• Integrate art history, cultural context, and contemporary artists to strengthen critical thinking and visual analysis.
• Align curricula and activities to academic standards and Uncommon’s expectations.
• Create formative and summative assessments to measure student growth and mastery.
• Collaborate in curriculum development and grade-level planning.
• Maintain a structured, inclusive classroom with consistent rewards and consequences.
