Job summary

Uncommon Schools seeks a high school Visual Arts Teacher to lead courses across drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media. You will shape curricula to balance technical skill-building, creative expression, and portfolio development while fostering critical analysis and visual literacy.

You will collaborate with colleagues to align instruction with standards, support diverse learners, and participate in school-wide initiatives designed to improve student outcomes and equity.

• Integrate art history, culture, and contemporary practice to strengthen visual analysis.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams on curriculum and school initiatives.
