Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks an Assistant Track Coach at the high school level to teach fundamentals, strategy, and conditioning, while fostering personal values and team spirit. You will support the head coach, coordinate practices, and help manage the program within district policies.

The role requires basic track knowledge, a Colorado Coaching Certificate, CHSSA registration, and completion of concussion and CPR/AED training. This is a part-time, on-site position in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Basic track and field knowledge is required.
• Demonstrated coaching experience with youth athletes.
• Ability to organize and supervise program activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the high school track program under the head coach.
• Schedule and attend practice sessions; develop training plans.
• Monitor attendance, behavior, and academic status of athletes.
• Ensure athletes are cleared to participate and adhere to CHSAA rules.
• Maintain equipment inventories and secure supplies as needed.
• Apply first aid/CPR skills and recognize concussion signs.
• Coordinate with athletic director and comply with CCSD policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
