Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks an assistant track and field coach for a Colorado high school program. You will assist with organizing and developing the high school track program, and oversee training sessions under the head coach's guidance.

Responsibilities include scheduling practices, monitoring student-athlete progress, and ensuring eligibility and safety. Applicants must hold a Colorado Coaching Certificate, CHSSA registration, and CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

CPR & AED Certification required.
Valid Colorado Coaching Certificate required.
Pass CHSAA coaches test and CHSSA coaching registration.
Complete concussion course per State Legislation and CHSAA By-Laws.

Responsibilities

Reports to the head coach and athletic director.
Oversees all aspects of their program level with direction from the head coach.
Provides information on scores, schedules, sites, discipline, and equipment inventory.
Schedules and attends practices; develops training plans with the program goals.
Ensures athletes are cleared to participate by the athletic office.
Complies with CCSD, Centennial League, and CHSAA rules.
Monitors attendance, behavior, and academic status.
Recognizes concussion signs and removes affected players.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
