Duties include coordinating schedules and equipment, ensuring eligibility, monitoring attendance and academics, applying first aid/CPR when needed, and complying with CCSD, Centennial League, and CHSAA rules; may perform other related duties.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of baseball.
• Possess or have ability to acquire a valid Colorado Coaching Certificate.
• Pass the CHSAA coaches test, obtain CHSSA coaching registration and complete a concussion course per state rules.
• CPR & AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• The assistant coach reports to the head coach and the high school athletic director.
• Supervises all aspects of their program level with direction from the head coach.
• Provides information on scores, schedules, sites, discipline concerns; inventories supplies/equipment.
• Schedules and attends practices; develops and implements training plans with program goals.
• Ensures each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate.
• Complies with CCSD, Centennial League, and CHSAA rules and regulations.
• Monitors athlete attendance, behavior, and academic status.
• Applies approved first-aid/CPR skills and manages concussion signs and removal.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
