Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from PSC-approved college or university.
• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on district AKS curriculum and create an environment conducive to student development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on AKS.
• Identify prerequisite skills needed for AKS mastery.
• Plan instruction to promote mastery of prerequisite skills.
• Analyze student work to determine instructional needs.
• Prepare written lesson plans to support AKS objectives for all students.
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning.
• Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities.
• Provide objectives to students and link content to prior knowledge and real-world applications.
• Organize content for presentation in logical sequences and blocks.
• Use research-based organizational plans for instruction (anticipatory set, acquisition, guided practice, independent practice, summarizing).
• Utilize effective instructional strategies and methods to aid student learning.
• Assess and provide feedback to students and parents; support collaborative learning.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and maintain records.
