Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools Mohegan H.S. - Clinton Township, Michigan is seeking a Program Coordinator to support at‑risk students and lead crisis response, re‑entry planning, and staff development.

This full‑time role offers a structured, 12‑month schedule and a competitive salary based on education and experience. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in social work or related field, with experience in alternative education and community mental health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
• Experience working with adolescents in alternative education, public/private school, community mental health.
• Demonstrated skill in leadership, communication, de-escalation, conflict resolution, restorative practices, relationship-building, and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students experiencing academic, social, emotional, behavioral, attendance, or engagement challenges.
• Build trusting relationships with students and develop individualized support plans.
• Lead and support crisis response, de-escalation, and conflict mediation.
• Lead re-entry planning following disciplinary incidents, absences, or other disruptions.
• Implement Programs related to behavioral, attendance, and academic goals and adjust interventions as needed.
• Lead school teams to connect students with appropriate support and resources.
• Lead professional development with teaching and support staff.
• Investigate student and staff situations as they arise
• Complete Behavioral Threat Assessments when necessary
• Other duties, not outlined above, as deemed necessary to meet student and building needs
