Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Special Education credential with authorization for the disability and level assigned or intern eligible.
• English Learner Authorization or eligible to obtain EL Authorization.
• Autism Authorization is required or eligible to enroll and complete a Commission-approved program.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) and related Educational Systems.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications.
• Ability to travel up to 5% in the performance of job duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement daily lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Conduct pre- and post-testing using standardized tests for each student.
• Write and implement goals as outlined in each student's IEP with the team.
• Schedule and chair IEP meetings including 30-day reviews.
• Manage student behavior.
• Demonstrate competency in all subject areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support instruction.
• Travel to additional school sites to render services.
• Complete reports and forms as required.
