Job summary

Orange County Workforce Innovation High School in California seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students within personalized instructional plans, aligned to each student’s IEP. You will collaborate with staff, plan lessons, assess progress, and ensure timely documentation and communication with families.

The role requires a valid California Special Education credential (Clear/Preliminary/Intern) and related authorizations; sign-on bonuses and IEP stipends are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• Special Education credential with authorization for the disability and level assigned or intern eligibility.
• English Learner Authorization or eligible to obtain EL Authorization is required.
• Autism Authorization is required or eligible to enroll and complete a Commission-approved program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement daily lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Conduct pre- and post-testing using standardized tests for each student.
• Write and implement goals as outlined in each student’s IEP.
• Schedule and chair IEP meetings including 30-day reviews.
