Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education is required.
• Must hold a K-12 Special Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all students assigned in special education instructional activities.
• Plans and develops a special education curriculum.
• Establishes learning objectives and maintains lesson plans.
• Adapts instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
• Assesses and records student progress using an approved grading scale.
• Maintains effective climate for learning and classroom management.
• Participates in IEP conferences and collaborates with staff and parents.
