Overview
Insight School of Oklahoma (ISOK) is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Oklahoma for a full-time, online environment. The role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and managing IEPs in a virtual setting, partnering with families and learning coaches to support student progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide special education and related services as determined by the IEP team.
- Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure appropriate therapies.
- Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other required documentation.
- Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings.
- Use provided resources to ensure accommodations and modifications (assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, accessible text).
- Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP.
- Ensure inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom.
- Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
- Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
- Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
- Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences; personalize learning for all students.
- Maintain grade book and report student performance as required.
- Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner.
- Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
- Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, or as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear required background check.

- Ability to interpret and use student data to drive instructional decisions.
- Willingness to receive coaching regularly.
- Adaptability to change to ensure student outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
Required Certificates and Licenses
Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification Required

Compensation & Benefits
Stride, Inc. determines salary based on education, experience, qualifications, location, travel, market factors, and benefits elections. Offers typically in the bottom half of the range.
