Job description

Overview

Insight School of Oklahoma (ISOK) is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Oklahoma for a full-time, online environment. The role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and managing IEPs in a virtual setting, partnering with families and learning coaches to support student progress.

Responsibilities
  • Provide special education and related services as determined by the IEP team.
  • Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure appropriate therapies.
  • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other required documentation.
  • Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings.
  • Use provided resources to ensure accommodations and modifications (assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, accessible text).
  • Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP.
  • Ensure inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom.
  • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
  • Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
  • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
  • Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences; personalize learning for all students.
  • Maintain grade book and report student performance as required.
  • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner.
  • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
  • Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, or as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and active state teaching license.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

  • Willingness to receive coaching regularly.
  • Adaptability to change to ensure student outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

Stride, Inc. determines salary based on education, experience, qualifications, location, travel, market factors, and benefits elections. Offers typically in the bottom half of the range.
