Job summary

The Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough in Southborough, MA seek a Part-Time High School Special Education Coordinator to lead IEP processes and ensure compliant service delivery at Algonquin Regional High School.

The role reports to Student Support Administrators/Principals and requires strong organization, collaboration with building teams, and experience with MA special education regulations. 95-day schedule; $40,000–$55,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Masters Degree in a related field.
• DESE license in Special Education (administrator license preferred).
• Minimum of three years of experience in special education.
• Knowledge of the TEAM referral process and SPED regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage timelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate referral and evaluation processes, IEP development, and student placement.
• Chair IEP Team meetings for initial evaluations and 3-year reevaluations.
• Chair additional IEP Team meetings as needed.
• Act as liaison between building teams and central office Student Support Administrators.
• Coordinate caseloads for special education liaisons and service providers.
• Support development and oversight of ESY and special education services.
• Schedule transition meetings with middle school staff for students.
• Serve as primary resource regarding IEP processes and compliance.
• Ensure alignment with state and federal special education laws.
• Communicate with parents about IEP development and implementation.
• Monitor services with providers to ensure delivery and coordination.
• Assist Director in monitoring compliance with regulations.
• Maintain consistent attendance and support district planning as needed.
