Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate.
• Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to pass the criminal history review and S414.

Responsibilities

• Teach in accordance with the district curriculum and board-approved materials.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Set objectives in lesson preparation and weekly plans.
• Plan age-appropriate activities for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with staff during planning times.
• Incorporate IEP requirements into planning and instruction.
• Stay current in subject matter and assist in curriculum revision.
• Maintain classroom standards and a climate conducive to learning.
• Communicate with parents to discuss pupil progress.
• Participate in school-level planning and committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Handle technology tools relevant to the role.
• Conduct assessments using varied methods.
