Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum and develop lessons aligned with district standards and approved materials.
• Teach in accordance with the curriculum and board-approved goals.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans and materials to meet student needs.
• Set clear objectives in lesson prep and weekly plans to achieve outcomes.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and presentations for all students.
• Incorporate IEP requirements into planning as required.
• Stay current in subject matter knowledge and pedagogy for curriculum improvement.
• Assist in curriculum revision and provide planning evidence when requested.
• Maintain student records and monitor progress for reporting purposes.
