The role requires a Master’s degree or higher, 18 graduate hours in Spanish, and a valid Texas teaching certificate. Pay Grade T60; 187 days probationary/term contract; AED/CPR readiness may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
• A minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish from a recognized, accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned.
• AED/CPR readiness to enhance staff safety (willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in Spanish to develop competencies.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and state guidelines.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal methods and maintain records.
• Create a positive classroom environment and manage student behavior according to the code of conduct.
• Establish communication with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
