The role supports safety, discipline, and positive educational outcomes under the Head Coach and District Athletic/Activities Director.

The position requires teaching certification or eligibility for KSHSAA Rule 10 certification, plus the ability to teach sport objectives and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification or ability to obtain KSHSAA Rule 10 certification.
• Fundamental knowledge of the activity.
• Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach sport objectives.
• Knowledge of CPR and First Aid is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop drill and practice activities to teach and enhance individual/team skill development.
• Know sport rules and strategies; assist in equipment management.
• Plan and enforce safety and health rules and regulations.
• Supervise activities to ensure student safety during practices, trips, and games.
• Communicate professionally with players, parents, and staff.
