Duxbury High School is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach for the 2027 season. The role focuses on athlete development, organizing practices, and supporting the varsity program while fostering a positive team culture.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, the ability to mentor staff, and ensure compliance with MIAA regulations. The position is an after-school stipend with defined season dates and collaborative relationships with families and administrators.

Qualifications

• High school varsity coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop athletes in a competitive environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and program improvement.
• Must complete CPR/AED certification prior to the season start.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and develop high-level athletes through skill training and game strategy.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character on and off the field.
• Plan and implement organized practices with drills and conditioning.
• Oversee game-day preparation, strategy, and in-game adjustments.
• Build relationships across varsity, JV, and freshman teams with clear communication.
• Attend athletic department, Patriot League, and MIAA meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with school, league, and MIAA regulations.
