Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a School Social Worker in the Roxbury area to support high school students. The contract runs from September through January with potential extension through the academic year. You will work with grades 9-12 to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, collaborating with teachers, families, and admin.

Applicants must hold an Active Massachusetts SW license and have experience in educational settings. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts SW license required.
• Experience supporting students in educational settings, preferably high school.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse students, staff and families.
• Flexibility and compassionate approach in addressing student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to promote students emotional and academic success.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans for students facing social or behavioral barriers.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school administration to develop effective support strategies.
• Assist in crisis intervention and connect students/families with community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to team members as appropriate.
