Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and show evidence of preparation.
• Use instructional strategies that address different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional materials that reflect student needs.
• Assess student learning and plan activities based on results.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to set goals and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
