Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education.
• State teaching certification DA (Biology) or DX, DQ, DI, DP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and laboratory safety practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school science courses (e.g. AP Biology, IB Biology and Horticulture).
• Develop engaging lesson plans fostering critical thinking and hands-on learning.
• Integrate Catholic values within the curriculum.
• Assess student progress through assignments, labs, projects and exams.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Collaborate with faculty to support interdisciplinary learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress.
• Participate in school activities and spiritual life of the school community.
