Job summary

EDU-AIDs in Massachusetts seeks a Moderate Special Education Teacher (High School) to deliver structured reading services using Orton-Gillingham methods, supporting a diverse student caseload. You will collaborate with general education teachers and families, develop IEP goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes in a collaborative, inclusive high school setting in Braintree.

Minimum licensure and credential required; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education.
• Orton-Gillingham Credential (1-year training and 1-year practicum).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience supporting high school students with reading challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham methods.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
