Republic R-III Schools is seeking a Secretary to support the High School Principal at Republic High School. The role involves maintaining an organized office to support the administrative process and ensure efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, secretarial experience, strong typing and computer skills, and excellent communication abilities. This 12-month position reports to the building principal and supports the assistant principals as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Secretarial experience required.
  • Superior typing and computer skills.
  • Business courses would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as secretary to the building principal and assistant principals.
  • Answer phone and direct calls.
  • Perform correspondence typing and filing for administrators (GED, Suspension, Collection of Student Debts, etc).
  • Process and monitor all purchase orders submitted to the principal and superintendent (building budget and PDC purchase orders).
  • Assist teachers with requisitions, budget revisions, planning budget for the next school year
  • Monitor usage of all credit cards and monthly statements
  • Pickup/Disperse mail at central office
  • Maintain electronic master building calendar (process activity requests)
  • Maintain building inventory
  • Collect funds for student debts; such as lost textbooks, chromebooks/charger/ADPP
  • Professional/Special Events Planner - high school faculty meetings, luncheons, breakfasts, retirement receptions, interviews, Business Expo
  • Assist with the graduation ceremony (process purchase orders for graduation expenses, collect senior contracts, coordinate graduation set up with MSU, and graduation correspondence to board members and central office)
  • Keep abreast of supplies for office and order when needed.
  • Perform any other duties requested by the principal and assistant principal.

Qualifications
