Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree, MSDE certification, and 5 years of certificated educator experience, including 2 years at the high school level, plus 3 years of administrator

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Hold a current MSDE professional certificate or license with endorsements as required.
• Five (5) years of certificated/licensed educator experience, including at least two (2) years at the high school level.
• Three (3) years of school-based or central office administrator experience, with at least two (2) years as a school-based administrator.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the total operation of the school and implement the system’s mission.
• Articulate goals of the Board of Education and ensure educational equity in policy.
• Accept responsibility for achievement of all students and remove barriers to equitable opportunities.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate personnel; support professional development for aspiring administrators.
