Greater Albany Public Schools High School Physical Education Teacher

FTE: 1.0

FLSA Status: Licensed

Contract Status: Regular/Probationary

Start Date: 2025/2026 School Year

Calendar: 191 Work Days

Salary: 2025-2026 Salary Schedule $51,007- $90,538 (based on years of experience and education)

Retirement Contribution: Greater Albany School participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee’s salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Position Description

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' physical skills and abilities, strength, agility, poise, coordination, and teamwork; to develop students' understanding of the importance of exercise to physical and mental well-being; and to motivate students to work towards, physical fitness, hygiene, and good health. Additionally, instruct classes in Health Education so that students develop increased knowledge and individual skills in caring for their own health and the health of others.
