Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• One to three years of experience with children in educational or clinical settings.
• Knowledge of sensory integration and motor learning.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators, parents and other service providers.
• Provide direct therapy to improve motor coordination, self-regulation, handwriting and organization for academic success.
• Consult with teachers to modify classroom environments and accommodations.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of fine and gross motor skills and functional performance.
• Lead professional development sessions on OT techniques and sensory strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with documentation standards.
• Participate in IEP meetings to develop goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create holistic support plans.
