Job summary

Improve Your Tomorrow seeks a College Access Mentor Specialist to guide students in grades 6–8, building a culture of brotherhood and college readiness. You will be the consistent adult presence, delivering mentorship, programming, and family engagement across a full-time schedule at a local Oakland site.

Your role includes leading study halls, tracking attendance, and coordinating developmentally appropriate activities, while documenting progress in Salesforce and supporting transition

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Experience mentoring or tutoring youth in education settings.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 mentorship focusing on identity, belonging, and college readiness.
Lead open study hall and track attendance and progress.
Coordinate family engagement activities and communications.
Document mentorship sessions and program outcomes in Salesforce within 24 hours.
Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, field-based at local school campus; occasional evenings/weekends.
