Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College is seeking a part-time tutor to support high school students in grades 9-12 during fall and winter, with summer opportunities. The role includes tutoring in center or classroom settings and assisting with center operations.

Responsibilities include supervising student tutors, collaborating with staff, and promoting student academic success while maintaining professional standards and FERPA compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Demonstrate content knowledge of high school tutoring areas.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group tutoring in content-specific courses in person or online.
• Assist the Tutorial Coordinator with the operation of the center.
• Help supervise, train, and mentor student tutors.
• Communicate with the Tutorial Coordinator as needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow FERPA policies.
