Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking a Math (Integrated Math II and III) and Chemistry tutor to work with students in the Encinitas and 4S Ranch areas. Support is typically one to two hours per week with each student and will continue throughout the school year.

Core responsibilities include providing academic support, creating supplemental assignments, tailoring approaches to each student, coaching study skills, and communicating progress with parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching-related criteria or equivalent.
• Experience or ability to teach math (Integrated Math II/III) and chemistry.
• Strong communication with students and families.

Job Summary

Requirements

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a valid California State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
