Job summary

Pathways In Education seeks a High School Math Teacher for the Ashburn center in Chicago. The SGI will deliver Math instruction to a 15–20 student class, practice data-driven instruction, and support test prep within a blended program aligned to Common Core standards.

The ideal candidate has Illinois Type 09 Math credentials, a BA/BS, and a passion for equity in education. This full-time role includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS required.
• Illinois Type 09 Teaching Credential in Math (grades 9-12).
• Experience teaching high school math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Math instruction in a classroom setting for ~6 hours daily.
• Provide test prep and serve as content expert for center.
• Use assessments and data to inform instruction for student success.
• Maintain grade, attendance and retention records.
• Participate in staff meetings, conferences and training.
• Assist with state mandated testing and audits.
