Job summary
Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) seeks a dedicated math instructor to deliver engaging high school-level mathematics focusing on problem solving and real-world application for students with significant behavioral needs in a clinical residential setting.
You will develop and monitor IEPs in line with Department of Education regulations and work with the management team to ensure safety, stability, and professional guidance for students in care. This is a full-time, year-round position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in teaching or education and RI teaching certification.
- Experience with students with behavioral/psychiatric challenges is preferred.
- Master's degree adds compensation; bilingual abilities are valued.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging high school math instruction focused on problem solving and real-world application.
- Develop and monitor student IEPs in compliance with DE regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with management to ensure safety and supportive environment for students.
