Qualifications

• Content knowledge expertise.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in technology and educational tools.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Certification: Rhode Island teaching certification -OR- Eligible.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements rigorous unit and lesson plans with high-quality curriculum material to meet Common Core State Standards
• Sets clear expectations, routines, and procedures to ensure productive and efficient use of class time
• Administers formative and summative assessments to inform instructional practices and provide feedback to students
• Establishes and models district core values in all communication and interaction with students, staff and families
• Demonstrates strong instructional and classroom management skills
• Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with disabilities and multilingual learners
• Centers classroom management and student behavior in PBIS and Restorative Justice practices
• Communicates effectively with students, families, and other professionals on a regular basis
