For this High School Math Teacher position, you’ll be working at Freire Charter School Wilmington (8th-12th Grade) in Wilmington, Delaware. What you’ll do

As part of Freire’s instructional team, you’ll use a standard aligned curriculum to foster critical thinking and high achievement in your classroom.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a classroom culture of critical thinking, rigorous learning, respect, and high achievement for all students.
• Use content-specific curriculum and create learning materials to promote problem-solving skills.
• Maintain regular communication with families about student progress and school updates.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with staff to support student needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Valid state teaching certification or willingness to obtain one

Pay and benefits

The annual salary ranges from $50,000 to $85,000, based on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and participation in Delaware’s state pension plan and 403(b) retirement plan.
