Job summary

Derry Area High School is seeking an Extended Day-to-Day Substitute Teacher for Mathematics to cover approximately October 22, 2026 through the end of January 2027. The role requires a Mathematics 7-12 certification and a bachelor's degree with PDE credentials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Teaches curriculum and incorporates language and writing skills with analytical learning procedures.
Develops weekly lesson plans and identifies instructional materials.
Provides individualized and small group instruction, including advanced placement where applicable.
Establishes and maintains classroom behavioral standards.
Evaluates student progress and communicates with parents as needed.
Uses data to improve learning and instruction.
Collaborates with staff to identify student needs and plan assessments.
