Salary Range:$32,000 - $71,000. The position on the scale will be based on years of teaching experience and education.

The Dalton School, a progressive K-12 gender-inclusive school in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is consistently recognized as one of the preeminent independent day schools in the nation. We are seeking two high school math teachers for the semester beginning September 2026 and ending December 2026. Math at Dalton is taught collaboratively with an emphasis on open-ended problem solving. We seek to cultivate an appreciation for mathematical rigor and a joy in finding creative solutions to problems. Much of our curriculum has been developed and iterated on through collaboration and teamwork. We are a collegial and engaged department committed to inclusion.

Our ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about high school students and mathematics. We are seeking a candidate prepared to teach Algebra 2, proof-based Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. In your cover letter, please highlight any experience teaching these topics or related courses, and address the role that inclusion work has played in your teaching practices.
