Job summary

Study Smart is seeking tutors in Vallejo, CA to teach Math (Calculus & Statistics) and ELA to 9th–12th grade students. In-person availability required, with weekly Wednesday hours 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, and a completed 4-year degree.

Tutors will provide small-group instruction, access class materials, adapt to new materials, and collaborate with the Education team to deliver effective strategies. Competitive pay and supportive professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Wednesdays from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students
