Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a High School Youth Apprentice to work alongside Production Associates in a Wisconsin manufacturing environment, gaining hands-on experience while supporting safe, efficient operations and quality production.

This on-site summer program runs June 2027 through June 2028, requires current junior status and enrollment in a local high school, is not eligible for remote work, pays $16.50 per hour, and emphasizes safety, problem solving, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Current high school junior graduating May/June 2028 and enrolled in a local high school.
• On track for graduation and eligible for Youth Apprenticeship Program.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Train on and operate low-tech sorting, assembly, packing and general equipment.
• Follow safety rules, standard work, and SOPs and perform safety checks.
• Participate in safety activities and risk predictions.
• Monitor equipment, identify issues, and elevate concerns.
• Apply basic problem solving and troubleshooting within training scope.
• Assist with maintenance, cleaning, inspection, lubrication as trained.
• Support efforts to maximize uptime and reduce scrap.
• Perform quality checks and document deviations and corrections.
• Complete required production, quality, safety and systems documentation.
• Complete assigned technical training within set timeframes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per SC Johnson policies.
• Collaborate with team and cross-functional partners under supervision.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, receive feedback and grow skills.
• Contribute to team success with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
