Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• NYS Certification in the appropriate content area.
• Dual licensure preferred; content area and ESL or Special Education.
• Two years of teaching experience in an urban school setting preferred.
• Strong teamwork ethic and data-driven instruction.
• Growth mindset with openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Teach Living Environments including ecosystems, life processes and energy flow.
• Develop daily lessons aligned with CPCS curriculum and lab activities.
• Supervise weekly laboratory experiments and ensure safety.
• Assess coursework, submit grades and communicate with parents.
• Prepare students for state exams and uphold high academic expectations.
• Engage in coaching and professional development activities.
