Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; culinary, nutrition, or food service education preferred.
• Experience in commercial, institutional, or quantity food preparation; school food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily breakfast and lunch preparation and service.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support kitchen staff and student workers.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, Maine DOE, and school nutrition requirements.
• Maintain meal counts, production records, temperature logs, and POS transactions.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory, deliveries, ordering, portion control, and food waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and cafeteria environment.
• Collaborate with the Food Service Director and school staff to address needs.
• Support a positive, welcoming dining experience for students and staff.
