Job summary

You will use online learning platforms and course software, model strong communication, set clear expectations, and integrate responsible AI practices while grading exams and providing timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught.
• Unofficial graduate transcripts must be uploaded with application.
• Degrees must be awarded by an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Additional state licensing/accreditation considerations may apply.
• Requisite subject matter expertise.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population in Chicago.
• Facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
• Develop course syllabi and lesson plans and apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives.
• Organize, prepare, regularly revise, and update course materials.
• Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions.
• Model effective oral and written communication.
• Set course expectations, terminal objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting.
• Ensure exam content and level correspond to course terminal objectives.
• Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly and provide timely student feedback.
• Integrate responsible AI technologies in the classroom and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
