Job summary

San Juan Unified is seeking an Instructional Assistant II for Mira Loma High School, 6 hours per day. The position supports students in Resource, Learning Handicap, and Communicatively Handicap programs, assisting in small and large groups and helping the teacher with daily needs.

Candidates should demonstrate relevant experience or training and may need to obtain a California Class C driver license within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam — testing date must be April 2005 to current.
• Official CBEST passing score.
• Official transcripts showing two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
• Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
• If degree transcripts are from a foreign college, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to US degrees.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in Special Day Class or General Education settings.
• Support the teacher's needs to help provide instructional services.
• Utilize experience and training to implement job duties effectively.
