Job summary

The Bradley County School District is seeking a qualified head coach to organize and supervise the high school athletic program. The position reports to the athletic director and works with principals to meet program objectives.

The coach will supervise staff, instruct athletes in fundamentals, strategy and fitness, model character and discipline, attend clinics, and coordinate with transportation, facilities, and safety procedures to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Ability to organize a full sports program.
• Knowledge of technical aspects and current coaching theories.
• Serve as a positive role model for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Implement athletic policies approved by the Bradley County Schools' Board of Education and ensure staff adherence.
• Interpret state and league regulations for staff.
• Coordinate and supervise staff including assistants and middle school coaches.
• Schedule practices and tournaments; arrange transportation and facilities.
• Ensure safety, supervision and proper conduct of student athletes.
