Job summary

Brandywine Heights Area School District is seeking a head coach to lead and supervise the entire high school sports program. The role requires substantial coaching experience in the assigned sport and deep knowledge of the sport's technical aspects.

The coach should stay abreast of new theories and procedures to keep the program progressive. The head coach reports to the athletic director and collaborates with principals to ensure program success, student well-being, and adherence to policies

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. (Major sports)
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
• and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.

Responsibilities

• Has thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures implementation by staff.
• Understands applicable system, state and league regulations and interprets them for staff.
• Maintains proper command chain and attends required meetings.
