Kansas City Christian School is seeking a Head Cheer Coach to lead the cheer program, reporting to the Athletic Director. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and prior coaching experience at the high school or college level, with a focus on safety, character, and athletic excellence.

The coach will supervise all cheer operations, partner with middle school coaches, stay current on cheer trends, and promote multi-sport participation while maintaining equipment and inventory integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and upkeep of all cheer equipment.
• Set practice and game times that respect academics and family.
• Meet with parents per athletic department guidelines.
• Support student‑athletes' post‑high‑school athletic planning when appropriate.
• Collaborate with school staff to advocate for student‑athletes' best interests.

Program Leadership

• Make time to meet with parents at mutually convenient times, consistent with the athletic department's communication guidelines.
• Support student‑athletes' post‑high‑school athletic planning when appropriate.
• Collaborate with school staff to advocate for student‑athletes' best interests.
• Work proactively with academically ineligible students to help them regain eligibility.
