Job summary

DISTRICT-WIDE in Odessa, Texas, is seeking a High School Counselor to provide comprehensive guidance services and educational support to all students. The role focuses on counseling, consultation with staff, parents, and community partners, and promoting students’ well-being.

The counselor will implement a district guidance program, support students’ academic planning, and collaborate with the Admissions, Review and Dismissal processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in counseling or related field.
• State Certification in School Counseling.
• Minimum 2 years’ classroom teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Counsel students to develop academic, personal and social abilities.
• Plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive guidance program per Texas Education Code 33.
• Provide referrals to community services and assist in program delivery.
