Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools is seeking a qualified athletic coach for the 2026-2027 school year at Blackhawk Middle School. The role involves instructing and supervising all athletic practices and games, and aligning with FWCS policies and IHSAA MSAC rules.

Candidates should have high school coaching experience and be able to work with students from diverse backgrounds while building positive relations with students, parents, teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• Candidate must comply with IHSAA MSAC rules and FWCS policies.
• Prefer candidate with high school coaching experience.
• Must be willing and able to work effectively with students from multicultural backgrounds.
• Commitment to developing positive working relations with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
• Instruct and supervise all athletic practices and games.
• Maintain high expectations for students academically and athletically.
• Ability to organize and work with other head coaches and assistants.
• Must have or be willing to get SPB/Minibus certification before season.
• Valid Driver's License required.
