Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking an English Language Learner (EL) Teacher for Sparks High School. This full-time, elementary–middle–high school classroom teaching role focuses on ESL/Bilingual instruction at the secondary level.

The position requires a Nevada teaching license eligibility and prior contracted teaching experience. The successful candidate will implement school-wide curricula, assess student learning, and collaborate with families and the professional community while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with student teaching experience.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject area/and or grade level.
• Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards.
• Implement curriculum for elementary–high school classroom settings as needed.
• Engage students with effective instruction and flexible responsiveness.
• Maintain accurate records and reflect on teaching practice.
