Job summary

Primavera Online School is hiring a High School English Teacher to work remotely from anywhere in Arizona. The role reports to the Director of Academics and is full-time, exempt.

You will teach 9–12 English, plan engaging live sessions, and support students toward earning their high school diploma. You must reside in Arizona and be available for six weeks of in-person testing travel.

Qualifications

• AZ Teaching certificate for English for grades 9-12 is required.
• Experience with online teaching platforms (LMS) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Canvas/PowerSchool/Google Drive is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging live lessons and deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Use Canvas, Google Drive, and PowerSchool to support student learning.
• Communicate with students and families to help students graduate on time.
• Adhere to Arizona time hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Be available to travel for approximately six weeks annually to support testing.

You’ll be part of theAcademic Englishteam, working closely withstudents and their families, and other English teachers. This team is responsible foreducating Primavera students in their English classes.

The Difference You Will Make

In this role, your work will directly impactstudents, their families, and other teachers byteaching students in engaging lessons, building meaning relationships, and helping the students to earn their high school diploma.

You’ll helpsupport learners and enhance student experience contributing to Primavera’s mission in a meaningful and visible way.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

• Lesson plan for you engaging live sessions
• Delivering engaging lessons to students both synchronously and asynchronously
• Communicating with students to help them get to graduation
• Use of Canvas, Google Drive, and PowerSchool
• This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday.
• Must be available to work in person for approximately six weeks each year to support Arizona state testing, including travel to assigned testing locations.
  

This role balancescollaboration and problem-solving and is well-suited for someone who enjoyssupporting students, managing details, and communicating clearly working with purpose.

• AZ Teaching certificate of English for grades 9 - 12
• Technology savvy
• Doing what is best for the students at Primavera
• Any previous LMS use

Bonus points if you also have:

• Knowledge and ability to use Google Drive
