Qualifications

• Valid NJ Teaching Certification in Engineering Technology (CTE) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, or related field preferred.
• Experience with high school students.
• Familiarity with PLTW or similar partnerships.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with project-based and team-based learning.
• Ability to integrate programming into engineering curriculum.
• Experience with engineering clubs and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
• Teach engineering concepts, tools, and applications using both theoretical and hands-on approaches.
• Incorporate technology, industry-standard software, and equipment into classroom instruction.
• Lead classroom activities, projects, and labs that foster student engagement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students on engineering projects and competitions.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-disciplinary learning and enhance the student experience.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support for academic growth.
• Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment conducive to learning.
